Interesting Gift Ideas for Children

In my search for the perfect Christmas gifts for my boys I’ve scoured the internet and come across some interesting options.

Take the Make-My-Own-Monster Custom Design Kit:

Awesome idea but at $249 a pop, I think I could whip up something similar with my own little hands for much less. And I absolutely do not sew. I wish I could. It’s on my list of things I want to do/learn in this life. Sounds like a future blog topic… hmmm.

And the pony tent:

What little girl wouldn’t want to camp out in the bowels of a pink pony?

Then there’s this:

I really have no words for the Bilibo seat. Except it does remind me of this little gem that OneScrappyGal sent me:

Disturbing, I know.

What child wouldn’t want to take their lunch in one of these beauties?

I’m sure the 8 and up crowd would really dig this:

“Wind up our fuzzy felt grey squirrel and he’ll hop hither and yon looking for the perfect hiding place for his acorn.” Good times. Good times.

Sporks make good gifts:

ARGH!! I just got that damned song out of my head and here you are posting the video! Now it’s back!! ARGH!!

My children have the Bilibo seats… my mother-in-law sent them to them. For something that’s so weird looking, they absolutely love it and play with it all the time. They stand in it, spin in it, carry crap in it, pretend to stir food in it like it’s a huge bowl, wear it as a hat, use it as a desk, they do a lot with them. That’s the whole point of them… that they can be whatever the child’s imagination can think up. It’s not something I would pay money for but if your mom wants to buy it for them, let her. 🙂

The squirrel scares me! It wants to dig out my eyes!

P.S. If you make a monster doll for your boys… you gotta make 2 more. 🙂

I thought you’d like to get that awful song stuck in your head again. Think of it as an early Christmas present! 🙂

The Bilibo seat is very strange. I agree, it’s not something I would purchase but if some one wants to give one to the kids then I’m not opposed.

The squirrel freaks me out too.

I’m so not making a monster doll. I don’t sew!

I want a squirrel! I was confused by the Bilibo seat until Aileen explained it. Now I hope my mom buys my kids some too!

Yes. I only found your blog because a gun was held to my head and I was told to visit. Guess who did that to me! You have a great blog. I’ll be back to check on you. . . and not because of a threat, but because I want to read more!
