Friday Night Scrapping

This Friday night proved to be a scrappin’ night not a Lifetime movie night. Even though my head feels ready to explode from this sinus funk I’ve contracted, I decided to get down to craftiness. I couldn’t take another moment wallowing in my bed waiting for the illness to pass. Although I’m currently absorbed in The Pillars of the Earth by Ken Follett and can’t wait to see what happens next, I had to take a break. My eyes were crossing from a day’s worth of reading. But that book sure makes me appreciate modern conveniences like toothbrushes, underwear and grocery stores! Not to mention the big stuff like electricity, running water and automobiles!

Remember those photos that I took of the kiddies in the laundry sink? I decided to make a page for each of the boys’ scrapbooks using those photos. It’s funny how you can create two totally different looking pages using the same page elements.

Wildman’s layout:

Just because I don’t have girls doesn’t mean that I will be robbed of using flowers 🙂 Orange and blue are manly colors.

Cutie Pie’s Layout:

I used liquid glass on the photos to accent the water. It’s very cool! The photos look like they have water droplets on them.

    Great job!!

The problem I’m running into recently is trying to decide when to stop making individual kid books and start making family books that includes everyone. But I have this horrible image of me dying and the kids all fighting over who gets to keep what scrapbooks.

I love that liquid glass!! I have the one you sent me here. Only used it twice but it’s so cool!! I still haven’t seen them in the stores…

    Thank you, Aileen!

I know what you mean about the dual book thing. I’m stopping Cutie Pie’s book after his first year. After that, it’s all about togetherness. I couldn’t resist doing this for each of the boys though. It’s just too precious.

Liquid glass kicks much butt. 🙂 Glad you like it!
