The Horky of the Dork

Do you know that nursery rhyme, The Noble Duke of York? It goes like this:
The noble duke of York, he had ten thousand men
He marched them up the hill
And then he marched them down again
And when you’re up you’re up
And when you’re down, you’re down
And when you’re only half way up
You’re neither up nor down

I sing this tune while giving the kids rides on my legs. It’s pretty entertaining to watch them fly up in the air when I march them up to the top of the hill and zoom them down when the men march down. Wildman loves this game and makes me play it repeatedly. Yesterday, he kept asking me to do “The Horky of the Dork.” It cracked me up every time he said it! And I got quite a leg work out to boot!

    Hahaha!!!

Didn’t know it but now will start saying it to my kids too. Not sure about the leg rides though. The boy will break them!

That’s so funny. It’s one of Peanut’s favorite songs/rides, too.
