The flowers at our house this month…

From J's aunt and uncle. This plant is vibrant and huge!

The new Publix near our house opened yesterday. I treated myself to some lovely Gerbera daisies this evening. Aren't they pretty?

Packing Peanut... Playing in the box that used to contain our new sinks.
Yes, the menfolk are out in the garage. Well, one of the menfolk is in bed already but the rest of them are out in the garage. You see, J backed his kayak into our old garage door a few months ago. The kayak was sticking out of his truck and he miscalculated the overhang when he was backing into the driveway. The hole it left in the fiberglass door wasn’t too bad but it definitely made me doubt the door’s structural integrity, especially during a hurricane.
We broke down and bought a new garage door this week. A company came to install it on Wednesday. The newness of the door made us realize the oldness of our garage door opener. It’s really, really loud. When J leaves early for work he wakes all of us up when he opens the garage door. That’s how loud it is. It has a hum that resonates through the whole house. I’m hoping this new one is quiet as a mouse. I would love to not hear the humming/grinding/strain every time the door goes up or down.
I’m singing “Sound of Silence” in my head right now.
