Last week I took the boys to our city’s newest attraction for kids: the bike wash! Yes, I know they don’t have helmets. We accidentally left them at home. Luckily, they weren’t riding fast on the new bike trails and did not sustain any head injuries. *sigh* It had been one of those days where I was lucky to just get out of the house with the kids, the bikes and my keys.
The new bike area is sandwiched between the library’s tiny playground and the soccer fields. The entire paved area is child-sized. There are mini street signs, tricycle-width lanes and low wooden barriers.
And at the end of the figure eight path is a bike wash!
The kids park their bikes beneath the shower head and pull the chain. Down comes a shower of refreshing water.
It was Wildman’s favorite part.
Cutie Pie did not like it at all. He kept making me back away from the chain for fear that I’d surprise him with a sudden shower…
Cutie Pie has yet to master the pedals on his trike. He still prefers to scoot across the ground using his feet. It’s so cute but frustratingly slow when we bike around the block together. Wildman is usually 100 feet in front of me and Cutie Pie is 50 feet behind me.
I’m so glad our city decided to build this fun bike trail. My boys love it! I’m pretty sure we’ll be visiting it a lot during the long summer months when the boys are looking for a way to cool down.

That is SOOOO cool. I wish we had something like that in our neighborhood. Our little brood went biking today too. Just posted some pictures. Bri looks so cute in her carrier seat!
