Since I took Cutie Pie to see When Elmo Grows Up on Wednesday, I wanted to do something special with just Wildman. He got to choose what he most wanted to do.
“Miniature golf!!!” he shouted. I’m pretty sure his choice was inspired by his love of the Wii Sports version of golf… He is obsessed with playing it.
So, miniature golf it was. The only mini-golf place close to our house is the Andretti Thrill Park. It has not only miniature golf but go-karts, bumper boats, train rides, laser tag, batting cages and an arcade. Wildman was so excited!
We went on Friday morning while my mother-in-law kept Cutie Pie. We had the entire park to ourselves for most of the morning. It was great! We didn’t have to wait in lines and could ride the rides for as long as we wanted. Wildman wanted to go on the go-karts first. They had pint-sized cars for Wildman to drive solo. He hopped in the Cheerios car and took off!
He wanted to do the train next.
We finally got around to golfing after we did the bumper boats and about 5 sessions on the two-person go-karts where I got to drive.
Wildman wanted to take a picture of me tee-ing off. Here it is, finger and all 🙂
It was so darn hot out there! We decided to cool off inside the arcade after we finished up the 18 holes.
Wildman and I each played a game of skee ball. We combined our tickets and cashed them in for two packages of Starbursts, a box of Nerds and a sticky hand toy. Wildman graciously shared a package of Starbursts with his brother when we got home. It was so sweet.

It sounds like you guys had a great time. I just love that picture he took of you with his finger on the lens! So classic!
