Stone Soup and Dragon Dumplings

Wildman and I had a date at the theater on Tuesday morning.  His preschool bought tickets for the older children to see Stone Soup and Dragon Dumplings at the King Center.  No siblings were allowed.  It was nice to spend some quality one-on-one time with Wildman.  Luckily my mother-in-law was available to sit with Cutie Pie while we went to the show.

As far as preschool productions go, this play was so-so.  It was less than 45-minutes which is kind of short considering all of the effort it took for us to arrange babysitting, drive over there, organize ourselves by school, file into the theater, entertain the kids before the show began, etc.  The music okay.  The puppet voices were really annoying.  Wildman thought the show was alright.  He was not super excited afterward rather ho-hum about the whole experience.

I really wish I had better things to say about it.  We were looking forward to going for a couple of weeks.  It was kind of a let down after the fun we had at last year’s play .

It’s too bad it wasn’t as great as you were hoping, especially after the fun you had last year. At least you got to spend some fun time with Wildman.
