I’ve been looking to update the artwork in the boys’ rooms, specifically Wildman’s room. I can’t take the cute cartoon giraffes and hippos that have been above his bed since babyhood anymore. It’s so heartbreaking to take them down but he’s six now. He needs something a bit more mature than prints that matched his long ago crib set.
A couple of weeks ago I took my D3100 to the boys’ t-ball game to capture a few pictures for posterity. When I got home and began editing them, I found that I had taken a few really special photos. I picked my favorite of each boy, made them black and white and will be taking them to the photo shop today to have them enlarged to 11×14’s for framing. What a perfect artwork solution! Custom, personal, unique!
I adore this shot of Wildman playing catcher for his team. I took this picture through a hole in the chain link fence. The look on his face melts me! It is perfectly him. And he has the catcher’s stance down.
Have I mentioned how much I adore my camera? No?
It’s love! I love my camera! There I said it.
Cutie Pie had just touched home plate in the photo below. I love how mussed his hair is. The cuteness is almost too much to handle!
I can’t wait to get these pictures up on the wall!
