J and I sought out blueberry pancakes for breakfast on our first morning in Maine. There was a lovely restaurant called Marriner’s in downtown Camden that advertised them on a wooden sign out front. I saw the sign on our mad dash from the airport in Portland to the rehearsal dinner the night before and took note for future reference. I’m so glad I did because those pancakes were bursting with wild Maine blueberry goodness. We ordered them with real maple syrup too. Heaven!
On a related blueberry note, the bride and groom gave us a cute canvas tote loaded with all sorts of wonderful things upon our arrival. Two of the treats were Mlesna blueberry tea bags from Sri Lanka and a little jar of blueberry honey. I made myself a cup of tea yesterday evening and sweetened it with the honey. Wow! The flavor was amazing! It was so rich and flavorful that I drank it right down. I’m definitely ordering a box of that tea.
