Custom Order Lego Box

Remember that dinosaur box B and I made a while back?  Well, the same lady who ordered it contacted me a couple of weeks before Christmas asking for another box.  Lego this time!  B and I couldn’t be more happy to have a return customer!

I really like how this suitcase turned out.  I paper-pieced the Lego logo by hand so it’s not completely perfect but I think it adds to the box’s charm.  I love how colorful it is too.  We had to keep B’s son from keeping it for himself 🙂

Cutie Pie returns to school this morning.  I cannot believe the winter break is over already.  Wildman goes back tomorrow…  *sigh*  Back to busy, I guess.  Now if I can just shake this cold!

Craft Fair Success

I would consider Saturday’s craft fair to be a success- we earned 5 times the registration fee.  It wasn’t a huge sum of money but it made giving up a whole day worth it.  We still have some inventory left that we’re not sure what to with though.

We had a 10′ x 10′ area in the recreation center’s gymnasium.  I was just enough room for us to set up all of our folding tables to display our things.

We sold a little bit of everything and managed to completely sell out our snowman soup kits!  A woman even asked us to make a custom dinosaur tin for her grandson.  It was a fun day spent with a great friend.  I’m so glad we did this together.

Sadly, some of the vendors were not quite as fortunate.  Some did not have a single sale.  Yikes!  That really breaks my heart because a lot of them had some really cool things for sale.  The economy is quite bad here and many of the people who came to the craft fair were just there to look.  So many in our area are having a hard time making ends meet.  I just wish that things would finally begin to turn around but I’m not so sure that’s going to happen any time soon…  It’s depressing to think about so many families struggling.

Craft Fair Goodies

On my bucket list there is an item about participating in a local craft fair.  This year I decided was the year to finally do it.  When I mentioned my goal to my friend, B, she happily agreed to pitch in and help me create some fun paper crafting projects.  Our big craft fair debut is this Saturday, November 6th at our city’s Founder’s Day celebration.  I thought I’d share a sampling of the things we’ve been working on with you.

Overall, I’m thrilled with how everything turned out!  We have so many neat things.  Luckily, B had some free closet space to store our inventory because it just would not have fit anywhere at mine.  We have priced our items well so I am hopeful that we will have lots of sales.  The craft fair that we’re attending has not had vendors with wares like ours in the past.  I think we’re filling a niche which is pretty exciting!

Wish us luck!
