Laying Low

I want to lay low today.  It seems like we’re always on the go either to preschool, play dates, appointments or errands.  My mountainous pile of laundry is leering at me…  My grimy counter tops are pleading for help…  My pajama-clad kiddies are perfectly content to build forts out of my sofa cushions.  It’s cold outside, by Florida standards (don’t laugh, 49 degrees is cold!).  It’s a good day to stay inside and get things done.

The television coverage of the inauguration is tempting me.  The boys have claimed the living room tv for Noggin viewing so I’d be relegated to the bedroom.  This is probably the only reason that I won’t be watching tv all day.  I can’t just hole up in my bedroom for the duration.  It would be nice though…

Randy, the Terminix guy, will be paying us a visit this morning between 10 and noon.  We have a little ghost ant problem.  They aren’t that bad but I’m tired of the stray ants here and there.  I suppose I should get dressed and brush my hair so I don’t scare Randy…  I don’t really want to but I’ll do my part to look presentable.

On a completely unrelated side note, my Wii Fit age is forty-freaking-five!  I have a pretty crappy sense of balance that is apparently aging me…  J’s Wii Fit age?  30!  Darn him and his surfing/kiteboarding/skateboarding!

My friend, B, called this morning to see if I wanted to order Girl Scout cookies.  I swear I heard angels singing and saw rainbows!  B’s friend’s daughter is selling the cookies and needs to submit all of her orders.  I quickly rattled off our list.  I’m so excited!
